For the past three years, Vocal Australia has been running events, education and resources to promote and support Australian a cappella music. In that time we have produced two major festivals, over a dozen showcase concerts, and countless education and community events throughout the country. Self funded, and fuelled by passion and enthusiasm for vocal harmony, the Vocal Australia team is hoping to run another huge festival in 2013.

We are appealing to all vocal enthusiasts who believe in what we’re doing to offer monetary support to ensure the future of this terrific community event. By pledging your support at http://getvocalfestival.com/donate, you can help us:

What We Need & What You Get

We are hoping to raise $15,000 from this crowd funding initiative – a small portion of what it costs us to run the festival. Vocal Australia will continue to generously donate countless hours and dollars to run the event, and will also shoulder the large financial risks involved with an event of this magnitude. Your donation, whether modest or obscene will ensure the future of this great event for years to come.

To be honest, we will run Get Vocal 2013 regardless of whether or not we reach our goal of $15,000. Likewise, any extra money we raise will go towards future festivals, events and resources for the Australian contemporary a cappella community. We have proven our ability to successfully run quality events on a shoe-string budget. Imagine how we could all benefit with some funding behind us to properly publicise and promote the event. $150 Dancing Queen: Help us out to the tune of $150 and you’ll get a FREE 2-hour movement / dance / choreography session with renowned Aussie specialist Zerafina Zara. Take your performance to the next level, and get those hips moving! Normally valued at $300.

$175 Music Tech Madness: Your generous support of $175 will land you a FREE online training course with Midnight Music – Australia’s leading music technology trainers. Become a Sibelius master, Audacity genius, or choose from any one of their great courses offered. Normally valued at $200.

$200 Rob’n The Rich: Got a couple of lettuce leaves handy? Well, if you do, Robert Dietz (USA) will arrange a song for your group! He’s the director of Human Feedback, has worked on NBC’s The Sing-Off, and has won more awards for arranging than just about anyone alive. Normally valued at $250.

$300 Vocal Australia Workshop: Donate $300 and the Vocal Australia team will come and work intensively with you and your group. After a three hour workshop / master-class, your group, choir, school or university will be polished, challenged and inspired. Normally valued at $600+

$400 Master of Generosity: Pledge $400 and you will receive 4 FREE hours of mastering from ‘Vocal Mastering‘ – the only dedicated mastering studio in the world that is focused exclusively on vocal music. Owner Dave Sperandio (aka “diovoce“) has mastered thousands of vocal music tracks for clients around the world. Normally $500+

$500 Access All Areas: For the a cappella fan who has everything! Pledge $500 and you will get a FREE VIP Festival Pass, entitling you and a friend to 5 festival events each, entry to our exclusive gala opening party, and a GET VOCAL 2013 Festival MEGA Pack.

$650 Studio 53: Pledge $650 and your group will get an eight-hour recording session, plus a day of mixing and editing with Suade‘s Chris Blain. Learn how you can do it all yourself in a hands-on, educational experience.
