Vocal Australia’s highly acclaimed and successful education program is in full swing, developing and promoting the vocal music scene in Australia. Vocal Australia presents engaging, educational workshop programs in schools, universities and communities, that have seen a healthy a cappella vocal scene flourishing throughout Australia.
Vocal Australia’s interactive GET VOCAL school workshop streams cover a variety of contemporary a cappella topics that can be catered to your classroom music programme, choirs, beginner to advanced vocal groups through to VCE music students. Following on from the success of shows such as GLEE and NBC’s highly successful “The Sing Off”, school students and teachers alike have a renewed enthusiasm for vocal groups.
The GET VOCAL workshops streams are structured as a half-day activity (3 hours) allowing students
the opportunity to learn new skills and apply them in a fun, supportive and creative environment. Two workshops can be combined for a whole-day workshop (6 hours).
Vocal Australia’s directors and founders, Amelia Alder and Chris Blain, are both highly qualified and energetic music educators, experienced performers and engaging presenters. Having both toured extensively throughout the world over the last 15 years with internationally acclaimed a cappella groups they have returned to Australia with a wealth of knowledge covering all aspects of contemporary a cappella singing.
