Congratulations to AUS-ACA National Finalists OC Chamber Singers from Ormiston College! Their impressive qualifying performance featured Daniel Moore’s “Shambala” (as made popular by Three Dog Night) and the main theme song from “Ghostbusters.”
“Shambala” not only spotlighted a number of star soloists across the group but also made use of snaps, claps, and vocal percussion to great rhythmic effect for an upbeat and uplifting result. The comedically theatrical “Ghostbusters” theme showcased the singers’ movement as well as chilling harmonies–which fans of NBC’s The Sing-Off may remember hearing as part of season 3’s Halloween episode opening medley.
