Congratulations to AUS-ACA NSW State Final Runners-Up Sydney Vocal Project! SVP is comprised of singers dedicated to performing contemporary choral music at the highest level. The group is directed by Jim Catt, who has coached and competed with singing groups across northern Europe, and consists of members who hail from the Sydney Suburbs, Wollongong, The Shire and The Central Coast.
Sydney Vocal Project draws influence from quartets, groups, and choruses from around the world, including The Swingle Singers and Voces 8 from the United Kingdom, Ringmasters and Zero 8 from Sweden, Ambassadors of Harmony, Kentucky Vocal Union, Westminster Chorus, and Vocal Majority from across the United States, and many more.
At the AUS-ACA NSW State Final, SVP’s performance garnered audience accolades and special awards for:
- Best Ensemble (11+ singers)
- Best Jazz Song: Mad World
